Last New Year's Eve, my family took a spontaneous trip to Texas to ring in the new year. Though we’d planned a cozy celebration at the family cottage, we received a last-minute invitation to join friends at The Horseshoe Bay Resort! My wonderful mother-in-law eagerly offered to watch our three boys, allowing my husband and I to sneak away for some time together.

After a quick drive, we checked in and went straight to the pool to meet up with our friends. While some were enjoying happy hour at the bar, a group of women were engrossed in a game I’d never seen before—American Mahjong. Though I didn’t know the rules, I was enchanted by the beautiful colors, intricate designs, and the satisfying chattering sounds of the tiles. Watching game after game, I couldn’t help but admire the artistry of it all, which sparked something in me.
 
For over a decade, I’ve poured my heart into curating experiences in both my professional and personal life. During the workday I bring people’s dream spaces to life, though I also have a passion for creating unique themed events for each of my three boys based on their personalities and interests. These are immersive experiences, with every detail crafted to bring the theme to life, from handmade decorations to intricate design elements. My love for designing and crafting began in my younger years working in scrapbook stores, where I learned the artistry of papers, embellishments, and the tiny details that make a big impact.

Inspired by that New Year’s Eve and my passion for creating unforgettable moments, I decided to turn my skills into an event design business. Now, I’m dedicated to curating experiences that bring people together and create lasting memories, just like those Mahjong games did for me. With each event, I desire to capture that same sense of connection, originality, and joy that’s been at the heart of every gathering I’ve created for my family.
